Gujarat Titans will take on Delhi Capitals in the 10

match of IPL 2022 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Gujarat Titans recorded a win in their very first IPL appearance while Delhi Capitals are also arriving into this match on the back of a sensational win against Mumbai Indians.
Gujarat Titans came out on top in the battle of the two new teams against Lucknow Super Giants. Gujarat’s bowling unit led by Mohammad Shami and Rashid Khan had complicated matters for the LSG batting unit early on. However, a resolute stand from Ayush Badoni and Deepak Hooda brought respite to the situation. Both players scored half-centuries to help LSG post a score of 158/6 on the board.
Dushmantha Chameera and Krunal Pandya led the bowling efforts for Lucknow as Gujarat continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. However, Rahul Tewatia pulled off a masterclass and steered his side home in the final over as they won by five wickets.
Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, defeated Mumbai Indians in their first match of IPL 2022. Kuldeep Yadav, who has had a terrible couple of years lately, looked in great touch and picked up three wickets, including the prized dismissal of Rohit Sharma. However, DC came up against a dominant Ishan Kishan performance and the batter slammed 81* off 48 deliveries to help MI post a big total.
Although Delhi got a steady start during the run-chase, they lost several key wickets and stumbled for a while. It was only when Lalit Yadav was accompanied by Axar Patel at the crease that DC were able to put their foot on the accelerator. Axar smacked 38* off 17 while Lalit Yadav recovered from a cautious start to score 48* off 38 balls as DC won the match by four wickets and with 10 balls in hand.
The two teams have never played an IPL match before and therefore, have no head-to-head record so far.

Match IPL 2022?
One can expect Delhi Capitals to have a minor advantage. DC have plenty of experience and although the bowling unit looks weaker this year compared to previous years, they are strong in other departments and will be high on confidence following their sensational last-gasp victory against Mumbai Indians. It’s still too early to make a fair assessment of the Gujarat Titans side yet but they showed plenty of positives in their opening encounter and would love to make a statement here.

Match IPL 2022
Given Gujarat Titans’ expected middle-order woes, Hardik Pandya needs to be at his very best. Suffering from fitness issues, he didn’t have a good IPL 2021 season. Pandya’s performance in the middle-order is expected to hold the side together. It was also great to see him bowling in top gar in the previous match. Lockie Ferguson and Mohammad Shami are expected to form a strong pace-bowling unit with Rashid Khan wreaking havoc.
Delhi Capitals will depend heavily on captain Rishabh Pant who will be tasked with executing captain Ricky Ponting’s instructions on the field. Pant has also been in red-hot form with the bat lately and will be hoping to brush aside his poor dismissal from the first match. Prithvi Shaw is always a menace in powerplay overs while the likes of Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel are also expected to make a difference.

Mohammad Shami has elevated his game over the last three years and has found consistent success. He has picked up 58 wickets in the last three seasons and Shami wreaked havoc in the Powerplay against Lucknow. He finished with figures of 3/25 in his four overs.

Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Shami are expected to be in contention for the man of the match award. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur are also likely to be in the running.

There might be questions regarding his strike rate, but young batter Shubman Gill scores runs consistently. He has managed 918 runs over the last two IPL seasons but needs to adopt a more aggressive approach. He got out on a duck in the previous game and will love nothing more than to make a statement here.
Who will be the best batsman for Delhi Capitals?
Prithvi Shaw is one of those players who can decide a match in the powerplay itself. He scored 38 runs in the previous match before being dismissed. Shaw has an excellent IPL strike rate of over 146.
