Match Prediction – HH vs MR, 54th Match BBL 2021/22 – Who Will Win Today’s Match?
Hobart Hurricanes will face Melbourne Renegades in the 53
rd
match of the Big Bash League 2021. While Hurricanes have had a decent campaign and are fighting for the playoff spots, Renegades’ tournament is almost over.
Hobart Hurricanes have had a pretty decent campaign so far. They have won twice in their last three games and are still pushing for the playoffs. Hurricanes demonstrated immense resolve to win their previous encounter against Sydney Thunder by nine runs. Matthew Wade starred with the bat with a fantastic knock and Riley Meredith and Sandeep Lamichhane got the job done with the ball in hand.
As a result, they are fifth in the table with 24 points. Hurricanes have a two-point lead over Melbourne Stars behind them who have played a game more. Hurricanes have won six of their 12 fixtures this season but cannot take their relative safety for granted here.
Following a string of consecutive losses, Melbourne Renegades are back to the bottom of the table – the same place where they finished last season and the year before. That says enough about the persistent problems plaguing the franchise.
They’ve lost against Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars by massive margins recently and morale will be pretty low in the camp. The defeat in the Melbourne derby would’ve especially been jarring. Renegades have lacked firepower in all three departments this season and in order to win here, they will have to punch considerably above their weight. The last time these two sides faced each other, Hobart Hurricanes won by 85 runs thanks to Ben McDermott’s wonderful century.
The head-to-head record shows that there’s little difference between the two sides. However, with that being said, Hobart Hurricanes have won four of the last five fixtures played between the two teams including the one earlier this season.

Who will win today’s match – Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades, 53rd Match BBL 2021/22?
Melbourne Renegades have been woeful in their matches so far this season whereas Hobart Hurricanes have discovered a winning formula. They will be desperate for a place in the playoffs and a win here will go a long way in determining that.
Hobart Hurricanes have named an unchanged squad of 16 players from last week’s thrilling last-gasp win over Sydney Thunder for their trip to Melbourne. Scott Boland, Nathan Ellis and Joel Paris continue to miss out while Gabe Bell could make his Hurricanes debut if selected in the final XI.
All-rounder Jack Prestwidge returned to the Renegades squad for the previous clash against Melbourne Stars. Although they are yet to officially name their squad for the game against Hobart Hurricanes, they are likely to retain much of the same squad.
Matthew Wade and Ben McDermott have played some ruthless knocks for Hobart Hurricanes this season. Ben McDermott is the runaway top-scorer in BBL11 and there seems to be no signs of stopping. Hurricanes will also be proud of the disciplined bowling performance that helped them win against Sydney Thunder in the last match.

Match BBL 2021/22

Who will win today’s man of the match?

Who will be the best batsman for Melbourne Renegades?
Aaron Finch is the second highest run-scorer in Big Bash League history. Australia’s T20 World Cup winning captain has also been Renegades’ second-highest scorer this season with 229 runs at an average of 29.62.
Who will be the best batsman for Hobart Hurricanes?
