Match Pakistan Super League 2022
Islamabad United will be up against Karachi Kings in the 21
st
match of the Pakistan Super League. Islamabad United have won three of their five matches so far whereas Karachi Kings are yet to open their account in PSL 2022.
All things considered, Islamabad United have had a pretty solid campaign so far. In the five matches, they have won and lost alternate games and have three wins to their name. Their only two defeats so far have come against Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars who have also posed a considerable challenge.
They were spectacular in their previous match against Karachi Kings. Paul Stirling, Colin Munro, Alex Hales and Shadab Khan led the way with the bat and chalked up a strong total of 177. However, it was the bowling unit, led by Shadab Khan’s brilliant four-wicket-haul which got the job done and secured a 42-run win for his side.
Islamabad are third in the PSL 2022 table as things stand and are behind Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars despite having games in hand. They trail the defending champions by six points and Qalandars by two points.
To say that Karachi Kings have been woeful this season will not be harsh by any account. Not only have they lost all their matches so far, they’ve been outplayed by almost each and every opponent and have been far from serious competitors.
Karachi Kings were blown away by Islamabad United in the most recent outing. Shadab Khan ran riot with both the bat as well as the ball and they ended up losing by 42 runs. It goes without saying that they are at the bottom of the table with no points in their account.
As far as the historical record is concerned between the two sides, Islamabad United have been much more successful. They’ve also won all of the last three fixtures played between the two teams.

Match Pakistan Super League 2022?
Islamabad United are the overwhelming favourites to win this clash. They’ve been a pretty good side and have played a positive brand of fun88. They’ve got players in excellent form and are expected to take Karachi Kings to the sword. Islamabad have already gotten the better of their opponents once this season and would like to close the gap to the top two spots by winning another one here.

Match Pakistan Super League 2022
Alex Hales and Rahmanullah Gurbaz have to shoulder more responsibility in the absence of Paul Stirling who has left for international duty with Ireland. Hales has been striking the ball cleanly and has been in great streak recently. Shadab Khan has been the biggest match-winner and has been instrumental with both the bat as well as the ball. All eyes will be on him once again.
Karachi Kings will rely on their captain Babar Azam once again. He hasn’t exactly delivered this season and will be looking for more consistency.
Who will be the best match bowler?
Shadab Khan is the leading wicket-taker in the Pakistan Super League this season by some distance. He has scalped 14 wickets in five matches at an average of 8.57. Shadab has also bowled at a spectacular economy rate of 6.00. Shadab has two four-wicket-hauls and a fifer to his name! He had been elected as the man of the match in the previous clash between the two teams earlier this season!
Who will win today’s man of the match?
Shadab Khan and Babar Azam will be the top contenders for the man of the match award here. Alex Hales has also had a great campaign and could be in the running for the recognition.
Who will be the best batsman for Islamabad United?
Alex Hales is the fifth-highest run-scorer in PSL 2022 and has been wonderful for Islamabad United. He has amassed 230 runs at an average of 46 and also has a strike rate of 159.72! Hales has scored two half-centuries and will be expected to add another one here.
Who will be the best batsman for Karachi Kings?
Babar Azam has attracted plenty of criticism for his extremely slow approach in the Powerplay and the initial stages. It has increased the pressure on them during steep run-chases and Karachi Kings have suffered as a result. However, he has been among the runs and has scored 194 runs in five games. Babar will be looking to improve his strike rate of 118.29 which has hardly helped Karachi Kings this season.
