Match Pakistan Super League 2022
Karachi Kings will be up against Islamabad United in the 14
th
match of the Pakistan Super League. This fixture could prove to be one-sided. While Islamabad United have been one of the best teams in the PSL this season, Karachi Kings are yet to register their first points on the board.
Karachi Kings have been really dismal so far this season. Not only have they lost all three matches so far, they were second-best in all three games and didn’t seem to be competitive enough. After underwhelming performances with the bat in the first two games, Karachi Kings finally posted a decent total in the most recent match against Lahore Qalandars. Sharjeel Khan and captain Babar Azam led the efforts for the side with the bat.
However, the bowling effort was well below par as nobody except Imad Wasim and Umaid Asif managed to make a mark. Despite a couple of early wickets, they were unable to prevent a loss as Fakhar Zaman looked in inspired form and ended up registering the first century of the season. The initial stage of the new season has been a learning curve for Karachi Kings who will be desperate to register their first points. They are languishing at the bottom of the table and are the only team who haven’t won a single match this season.
Islamabad United ‘s loss to Multan Sultans has been sandwiched between two victories in the first and the most recent game. They defeated Quetta Gladiators by 43 runs in their last game and have looked quite sharp.
Paul Stirling looked spectacular as always and Colin Munro and Azam Khan played quality knocks in the middle order, helping Islamabad post a challenging total of 229/4. Although Quetta Gladiators got off to a good start from Ahsan Ali who scored a half-century, they continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Shadab Khan ran riot, picking up a fifer, and helped bundle out Gladiators for 186, thus, securing a 43-run win.
Islamabad United are second in the table and are only behind Multan Sultans. They have four points to their name and have the highest net run rate of +1.194.
As far as the historical record is concerned between the two sides, Islamabad United have been extremely successful and have 10 victories to their name. Karachi Kings have only won six matches. Islamabad United won both the matches against Karachi Kings last season.

Match Pakistan Super League 2022?
Karachi Kings couldn’t have gotten off to a worse possible start in the league. They are rooted to the bottom of the table after losing three matches on the trot and are yet to click as a team. Their brand of fun88 hasn’t exactly been inspiring and the bowling unit looks pretty toothless.
Islamabad United have performed extremely well and save the loss against defending champions Multan Sultans who already look like title contenders, they’ve overcome every other opposition. They have several players in top form.
