Match Prediction – Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators, 4
th
Match Pakistan Super League 2022/22
Karachi Kings will take on Quetta Gladiators in the fourth match of the Pakistan Super League. Karachi Kings will be expected to shake off their loss from the first game while this will be Quetta Gladiators’ second game in as many days.
Karachi Kings were no match for defending champions Multan Sultans in the season opener of the Pakistan Super League. Imran Tahir rocked the batting unit and spun webs of deception around the batters. Despite Sharjeel Khan’s best efforts, Karachi were unable to mount any kind of resistance and ended up falling 20-25 runs short of the par score.
As a result, the bowling unit had very little to work with. Mohammad Nabi picked up two wickets but was unable to prevent the inevitable as Mohammad Rizwan scored a wonderful unbeaten half-century to secure the win for Multan Sultans. Karachi Kings will have to go back to the drawing board and find a way to get back to winning ways here.
This will be Quetta Gladiators’ second match of the season and they will be taking on Peshawar Zalmi the day before. Quetta Gladiators were woeful in the PSL last season and were the poorest side in the entire competition.
They had managed just two wins in 10 games last season and finished at the bottom of the points table. They also had the poorest net run rate of -1.786. Quetta will be led by former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and they will be hoping for a more respectable campaign this time around having reinforced their squad with players of local and international quality.
Quetta Gladiators hold the historical advantage in this fixture against Karachi Kings. They have won seven games while Karachi Kings have been victorious on five occasions. With that being said, however, Karachi Kings defeated them both times last year.

Who will win today’s match – Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators, 4th Match Pakistan Super League 2022?
Despite Quetta Gladiators adding reinforcements to their squad this season, it may not prove to be enough to pose challenges to most teams in the league. Karachi Kings aren’t short on quality and experience and they will be desperate to get back to winning ways here. Besides, fatigue might also play a role as Quetta Gladiators players will have to take to the field on successive days. Therefore, Karachi Kings are the favourites to win this game.
Shahid Afridi was ruled out of the first few games of the tournament after testing positive for COVID-19.
Karachi Kings will be depending heavily upon captain Babar Azam once again. Azam is one of the best batters in the world and is ruthless in this format of the sport. Their bowling unit could prove to be an area of concern though.
Quetta Gladiators, on the other hand, have a strong middle order which includes the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Umar Akmal.
