Match Prediction – LSG vs RR, 63rd Match IPL 2022 – Who Will Win Today’s Match?
Lucknow Super Giants will collide with Rajasthan Royals in the 63rd match of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both LSG and RR have been two of the most consistent teams in IPL 2022 and they are ranked second and third on the table respectively.
Lucknow Super Giants have been mighty impressive in their debut Indian Premier League campaign. They have secured victories in eight of their 12 matches. With 16 points and net run rate of +0.385, they are second in the table, just behind Gujarat Titans.
LSG went on a streak of 4 consecutive wins before it came to an end against Gujarat Titans in the previous match. Their opponents came out on top in that top of the table affair. While GT’s total of 144, achieved courtesy of Shubman Gill’s composed half century, looked several runs short of par, the GT bowling unit swung the course of the match back in their favour.
Rashid Khan picked up a four-wicket haul while Sai Kishore and Yash Dayal scalped a couple of wickets each to bundle out LSG for 82, thus securing a 62-run win. For LSG, only three players managed to get into double digits with the bat.
Rajasthan Royals, meanwhile, have suffered three losses in their last five games and will be hoping to achieve more consistency. They are 3rd in the table behind GT and LSG and have won seven of their 12 matches so far. RR are level on points with Royal Challengers Bangalore on 14 points but have a much better net run rate of +0.228.
Rajasthan Royals have suffered in the absence of Shimron Hetmyer recently. Batting first against Delhi Capitals, they failed to assert their authority and despite Ravichandran Ashwin’s maiden IPL half century, they could only manage a score of 160/6 with Chetan Sakariya, Mitchell Marsh and Anrich Nortje picking up a couple of wickets each. Heroes of Australia T20 World Cup triumph Mitchell Marsh and David Warner then led the run chase with fantastic half centuries as DC got past the line with eight wickets in hand.
The two sides have squared off only once before. They met earlier this season when Rajasthan Royals won by three runs on the final ball of the contest.
