Match Prediction – MS vs AS, 43rd Match BBL 2021/22 – Who Will Win Today’s Match?
Two teams who are placed at the bottom of the points table square off in match number 43 of this Big Bash League (BBL) 2021-22. Both Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Strikers have had a wretched run in this tournament so far and need to desperately turn things around.
Despite winning three games, Melbourne Stars are the bottom. That is because they have just 10 points from eight games – three points each for a win and just one Bash Boost point win. Their matches in the recent times have been adversely affected by COVID-19 and there have been a lot of substitutions on and off the field.
On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers have won just two encounters. They have lost as many as seven matches, the most by any team so far this season. But seven Bash Boost points have mean thtat their points tally has reached 13. They will need to win almost every game from hereon, to stand a chance of making it to the knockouts.

Who will win today’s match Melbourne Stars vs Adelaide Strikers, 43
rd
Match BBL 2021/22??
The batting hasn’t clicked for the Melbourne Stars. Barring Hilton Cartwright and Joe Clarke, to an extent, none of them have really stepped up. Glenn Maxwell has scored just one ton but apart from that, he hasn’t done much either. Meanwhile, the bowling has been inconsistent as well. Brody Couch and Qais Ahmad are the only ones among the wickets. Moreover, with COVID-19 hitting them hard, the team has shuffled around which has made things worse. Skipper Maxwell will miss this game due to the same reason as well.
The story for Adelaide Strikers has been similar. Their bowling has been dependent on just two players – Rashid Khan (13 wickets) and Peter Siddle (16 wickets). Wes Agar has chipped in decently as well. It is the batting that has let them down. None of them have really racked up the big scores consistently. Matthew Short (257 runs) and Matt Renshaw (196 runs) have fared decently but there hasn’t really been any big knock. Jon Wells is the other player who has more than 200 runs but consistency has been the issue.
Both teams have struggled and hence, no team really starts as favourites. Both of them will be looking to turn things around.
