Match Prediction Quetta Gladiators v Karachi Kings, Match 28 – PSL 2022
These are the final set of league games in this 2022 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Quetta Gladiators take on Karachi Kings in the 28
th
game of this tournament. This is the last league encounter for both sides.
Quetta Gladiators haven’t had a great tournament so far. They have three wins and six losses and are fifth (second from the bottom) on the points table. Moreover, their net run rate of -0.917 is the second-worst among all teams in this tournament which dents their chances of reaching the top four even more. There is an outside chance but for that, Quetta Gladiators need to win this game and hope that Islamabad United lose both their games by big margins.
On the other hand, Karachi Kings just haven’t taken off. After eight losses on the bounce, they finally managed to win a game. They are certain to finish with the wooden spoon. They have found ways to lose even from positions where they have been ahead and in control.
As far as head to head records are concerned, Karachi Kings are behind here as well. They have won just five while Quetta Gladiators have won eight games.

Who will win today’s match Quetta Gladiators vs Karachi Kings, 28
th
Match BBL 2022?
The batting has been pretty good for Quetta Gladiators and a few players have contributed well. Jason Roy and Will Smeed have been excellent at the top of the order and the duo have scored 220+ runs in five innings each. Ahsan Ali has fared well in the middle-order and is the leading run-getter for Quetta Gladiators this season (250 runs). However, it is the bowling that has been inconsistent and has conceded huge totals. Quetta Gladiators have conceded 180+ in as many as six games this season and that has cost them quite a bit.
On the other hand, be it with the bat or ball, there hasn’t been any sort of consistency for the Karachi Kings. Babar Azam has been the lone ranger with the bat on multiple occasions. There has barely been any support from the others. Karachi Kings batters have scored four individual fifties, out of which Azam has hit two of them. It is no different with the ball. None of the players have really stepped up and taken charge for a long period of time in this tournament. Chris Jordan has played only five games and yet, he is the highest wicket-taker (nine scalps).
Hence, despite their struggles, Quetta Gladiators are likely to start as favourites.
