Match Prediction – RR vs RCB, Qualifier 2, IPL 2022 – Who Will Win Today’s Match?
Rajasthan Royals will collide with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second qualifier of IPL 2022 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is a do-or-die to encounter to decide which side joins Gujarat Titans in the final of IPL 2022.
Rajasthan Royals have had a strong and dominant campaign in the IPL this season. A revamped side following the mega auction, they did wonders in the league phase. RR finished second on the table with 18 points and only behind Gujarat Titans. Although they were level on points with Lucknow Super Giants, RR finished ahead on the basis of a better net run rate.
Rajasthan Royals took on Gujarat Titans in the first qualifier of the season but ended up falling short. Jos Buttler slammed 89 runs off 56 deliveries while captain Sanju Samson also went berserk in the powerplay to help the side get to a total of 188/6. However, it didn’t prove to be enough in front of a commanding performance from David Miller. The South African left-hander slammed three consecutive sixes in the final over to help his side win the game by seven wickets. RR will now get another bite of the cherry in their quest to make it to the final of the competition.
On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore had to depend on Mumbai Indians defeating Delhi Capitals and doing them a favour in the playoff race. Faf Du Plessis and co managed to beat DC in the qualification race thanks to their defeat in their last league match. RCB finished the league phase with eight wins from 14 matches and had 16 points to their account.
Rajat Patidar seized the occasion as Royal Challengers Bangalore took on Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminator fixture in front of a capacity crowd at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium. The 28-year-old slammed 112 not out in just 54 deliveries and stitched a fabulous 92-run partnership with Dinesh Karthik, who remained unbeaten on 37 from 23, to help RCB post a massive total of 207/4. Although opposition KL Rahul scored 79 runs, he couldn’t score it at the pace needed and LSG ended up losing by 14 runs.
The two sides have played 27 matches against each other. RCB have the upper hand with 13 wins while RR have won 11 games. Both sides have won a game each in the two fixtures held between them this season.

Captain Sanju Samson has provided the necessary fireworks while Shimron Hetmyer is also having a wonderful IPL season. The experienced spin-bowling duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin have controlled middle overs well while Trent Boult’s pace will be key once again.
Both Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli have had their moments this season but have largely been inconsistent.
