Despite starting well, Rajasthan Royals crumbled following Evin Lewis’ wicket and found themselves restricted to a mere 149 which the Royal Challengers Bangalore were able to chase down with ease.
Glenn Maxwell starred for RCB, pitching in with an important half-century as RCB consolidated their position on the points table, with seven wins in 11 games.
Meanwhile, the Royals fell to their seventh loss of the season, but could still make the playoffs if they win their remaining three games.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match number 43 of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Dubai International fun88in.in Stadium is going to be the venue for this encounter.
RR’s inconsistency has continued from the first half. They had three wins and four losses after the first seven games and now have four wins and six losses.
It could’ve easily been a win-loss record of 3-7 if it had not been for the heist pulled off by Mustafizur Rahman and Kartik Tyagi as the duo defended eight runs in the last two overs against Punjab Kings.
The batting has been a major issue for RR this term. Sanju Samson hasn’t found any sort of solid support and it has affected the momentum. The bowling has fared decently, but RR lack some wicket-taking options in the spin department.
On the other hand, RCB bounced back really well after their two successive defeats in this second half. They lost to Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. But they beat Mumbai Indians (MI) superbly to get back on track.
The Virat Kohli-led side now have six wins and four losses and are on the third spot on the points table. The batting seems to be coming together nicely as the openers (Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal) have contributed really well while Glenn Maxwell struck some form in the last game.
AB de Villiers may not have got big runs in this second half, but he is a freak. Harshal Patel’s wicket-taking ability has been well highlighted so far and has been superb. Chahal’s return to form would be a boost for RCB as well.
RR need to win at least three out of the remaining four games to stand a chance of making it to the playoffs. Meanwhile, RCB are within touching distance and need only a couple of wins to seal their playoffs spot.

Rajasthan Royals
Sanju Samson mentioned at the toss in the game against SRH that Kartik Tyagi was out due to injury. The extent out of his injury is unknown and Jaydev Unadkat is likely to retain is place. The rest of the line-up is unlikely to change.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB have all their players fit and raring to go. Kyle Jamieson has been expensive and he could be replaced either Dushmantha Chameera or George Garton. Apart from that, they may not make any changes to the playing XI that faced MI.
Predicted XI
Rajasthan Royals: Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Liam Livingstone, Mahipal Lomror, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Chetan Sakariya, Kartik Tyagi/Jaydev Unadkat, Mustafizur Rahman
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli (c), Devdutt Padikkal, Srikar Bharat (wk), Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Shahbaz Ahmed, Daniel Christian, Kyle Jamieson/Dushmantha Chameera/George Garton, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
Key players
Sanju Samson : Sanju Samson has been the pillar of this RR batting line-up. He has consistently got big scores and hasn’t really had support at the other end.
Samson has 433 runs with an average of 54.12 and a strike-rate of 141.96
He will continue to be key for RR amid their wobbly batting lineup
The RR skipper has fought almost a lone battle and he has led from the front. He got an unbeaten 70 against DC before scoring 82 against SRH.
Yuzvendra Chahal : Yuzvendra Chahal had picked up just four wickets from seven games in the first half of this IPL 2021.
Five wickets in three games, including 3/11 against MI
Chahal is making his mark on this term’s IPL
Chahal proved that he is still one of the best spinners going around the circuit in Indian fun88 and he will be keen to make a mark after the T20 World Cup snub.
