Match Prediction – RCB vs DC, 56th Match IPL 2021 – Who Will Win Today’s Match?
This is the final league encounter of the 2021 edition of the IPL. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Dubai International fun88in.in Stadium. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs and have pretty much guaranteed their spots on the points table.
RCB are most likely to finish third unless something dramatic happens and Chennai Super Kings lose by a massive margin, and they win this game by an even bigger margin. DC are guaranteed a finish in the top two.
RCB have played some very good fun88 throughout this season. After losing a couple of games to start the UAE leg, the Virat Kohli-led side bounced back to win three games in a row.
But their batting flopped in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as they couldn’t chase down 142 on a sluggish pitch and fell four runs short. Their bowling has been superb while the batting will want to get back into some flow ahead of the knockouts.
On the other hand, DC are in top form. They have lost just one game in this UAE leg and overall, they have 10 wins and just three losses in this 14
th
season.
The Rishabh Pant-led side are on a roll. Their bowling attack has been magnificent, and they have stood tall more often than not. Meanwhile, the batting has been pretty effective and has got the job done.

Team News
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB have all their players fit and available. There are no injury concerns. Dan Christian hasn’t done much with the bat but he has fared decently with the ball. It’ll be interesting to see if RCB decide to swap him with Tim David. George Garton has been expensive and RCB could have a look at Dushmantha Chameera.
Delhi Capitals
After Marcus Stoinis injured himself, DC have struggled with the balance of their side and that spot at No. 5 or No. 6 has been shuffled around quite a bit. There is no news on his fitness yet. In the last game against CSK, Delhi played just three overseas players and hence, they could consider bringing in Sam Billings in place of Ripal Patel.
Predicted XI
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Virat Kohli (c), Devdutt Padikkal, Srikar Bharat (wk), Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Daniel Christian/Tim David, Shahbaz Ahmed, George Garton/Dushmantha Chameera, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
AB de Villiers
: AB de Villiers hasn’t had a great run in this second half of this 14
th
edition of the IPL. The South African superstar has scores of 0, 12, 11, 4 not out, 23 and 19 in the UAE this year. In the last couple of games, he did show some signs of returning to form but he hasn’t been in full flow.
With the playoffs around the corner, RCB will want their talisman to get back into rhythm and also get some runs under his belt. Thus, de Villiers might be crucial in this game and could well bat higher up the order as well.
Kagiso Rabada
: Kagiso Rabada has blown hot and cold in this IPL 2021. He has picked up 13 wickets in 12 games at an economy rate of 8.28 so far and in the UAE leg, the ace South African speedster has taken five wickets in as many games. He has gone wicketless in the last couple of games.
Rabada has an excellent record against RCB. He has returned with 13 wickets in just five games against Virat Kohli and co. He has a bowling average of 11.07 and strikes once every nine deliveries against them. Hence, Rabada could be the key for DC.
