In the match 7th of the BBL 2020, Sydney Thunder will take on Brisbane Heat at Manuka Oval, Canberra on 14th December 2020. Both the teams failed to make an ideal start to the BBL 2020 season, as bot lost their respective opening games against Melbourne Stars.

Sydney Thunder got to a good start while chasing a score of 170 in the opening game against Melbourne Stars. At one stage, Thunder were 90-1 after 12 overs; however, the middle-order failed to carry on the momentum and finish the game. Alex Hales (44 runs) and Skipper C Ferguson (35 balls 54) performed well for the Thunder. This batting duo is the biggest threat for any opponent, and hence their good form is very crucial for Thunder to go long way in the tournament. Skipper C Ferguson and co. would be eying for clinical performance in all aspects of the game and get a first win of the season.
Brisbane Heat would be very disappointed following their performance in the season opener as the batting heavy side got all-out on the score of just 125. Brisbane Heat has not been great in the recent BBLs as the 2012-13 BBL champion team failed to make playoffs in the last two editions. Moreover, in the previous season, they could win only 6 out of 14 games. Hence, Heat would be desperate for their first win in this match. Skipper C Lynn in the vital cog in batting line-up and Heat’s success this season would depend a lot on the performance from Skipper. He is an explosive batsman in T20, and once he gets going, it will be difficult for the opponent to stop him. Max Bryant, Tom Cooper and Sam Heazlett need to score runs to get Heat to a good total.
